Debbie Matson

Debbie Matson began working at the Guernsey Veterinary Clinic in September 1973.

Debbie started as a kennel technician and over the years she has also worked as a receptionist and a veterinary assistant.  Her knowledge, experience, and positive attitude have made her the perfect candidate to be our office manager.

Debbie has one cat, a Siamese named “KJ”.  She also owns birds: two parakeets, two zebra finches, and one 15-year-old canary.

Debbie is a NASCAR fan, especially driver Ryan Newman (car 39), because he and his wife help homeless pets.  She also enjoys knitting.

When asked why she chose to work with animals Debbie responded, “I have loved animals since I was young.  I used to dress my cat in doll clothes and have her ride around the yard in the baby stroller.  She also would sit in the highchair and let me feed her with a spoon or bottle.  Now I get to play and help care for lots of pets!”
